That fish was caught on a Texas rig tube. The Woman Lake Chain is home to walleye, northern, large and small mouth bass,crappie, bluegill and muskie. Channels and the water between points are often good, and cool water is best. I found a couple of beds with giants on them. Was fishing with my friend Scott and he was pulling a small crankbait over the beds. Girl Lake has an excellent population of northern, bass and bluegill.

The smallmouth on Woman lake are worth the patience as they are very nice in size. My partner James and I caught many large 3-4.5lb smallmouth on the main-lake rock edges and isolated deep weed patches en-route to a 25.60 lb.

Fished in MN pro-team tour tourney on July 22nd. Lantern Bay, with its thick weeds, lily pads and grass is often a great spot. First time fishing the lake, and I heard it's pretty big.Also, any bait choices that are "must have's" for this lake?My son wants to try bass, but I'm guessing they will be easier to find on shorelines/weed edges.Dad would really like to eat a walleye or crappie!
