Murray said Fusion was ‘one of the great whiskies found anywhere in the world’. A coupla drops of water made it creamy and sweet. Delicious, rounded amazingness. I don't know what to think.Am actually not a whisky person but Amrut Fusion has been a revelation. But again, there is a high degree of evaporation due to the climate in Bangalore leading to the young age of the whisky. The finish is long with heavy fruity overtones. Complex yet balanced, good fragrance, nice finish. Ticks a lot of boxes.

My preference in style is first and foremost, a decent XO Cognac (I know that's not whisky), followed peated scotch single malts - Irish, American, Canadian, and the lighter more floral Scotch single malts I don't really like. Fantastic value for a whisky of this quality. . Expectations that were only partly fulfilled.Whisky tasting of Kavalan classic, Glenmorangie Lasanta, Ichiro port wine (?) Not unlike the old Miyagikyo. I found that the peat was nicely pronounced when sampled neat--added a little water and, hey-presto! Finish is long and deep. Must be that the cachet is in drinking real scotch, and this is all exported. Well worth a try?I have been a fan of Fusion and have been though 7 bottles. Once I got past my Scotch snobbery and bought this I was so pleasantly surprised. The finish is long with heavy fruity overtones. The complexity that is usually derived out of the malt in the cask maturing for a good long period is missed. Our recommendations to friends will now stop ! The nose hinted at the delights within, and the dram itself was sweet and complex, with notes of molasses and a hint of cardamom, slightly oily, soft yet intense. A must try.Big fan of this whisky. Indian malt rated one of best three whiskies in world Leading whisky expert, Jim Murray, has named an Indian malt the third best in the world in his new Whisky Bible. The balance of creamy sweetness (I got fudge or Werthers' original), citrus (I got a hint of mandarin) with peat is just sublime.
