Best to suffer for 3 days and endure a couple of weeks to be really free from all that cr**. Now I am on champagne two weeks in. After being out of hospital for 3 day I stated again I smoked off and on for three months. 20 years later and I was pumping them in to my mouth and totally overdosing on Nicotine. Years ago I’d tried Chantix three times though it made me completely insane. I have quit smoking cold turkey 9 days back – after 20 years of smoking. But make it a week and there’s no reason you can’t keep going. iâm not craving it anymore BUT i feel like i canât concentrate on anything! I still drink my coffee and wine which were 2 big triggers. That is nearly 7 months after smoking for 60 years (I am 74). I’m 2 weeks cig free this Mon, but I’ve felt very anxious like a tightening in my chest, rapid heart beat…..things I never used to experience. I believe it’s more addictive than smoking in my experience. Ok I blew it. You won’t have access to it whenever you get a craving, sure, but you’ll have easy access to cigarettes. Nothing takes it away. I vaped at a 3mg daily. For me, eating junk food seems to kill the craving and eventually improve concentration. 1. Mental cravings will still pop up from time to time, especially in the first year, but they will not be anything near the level of the first month. I quit two times before and this never happened…I think they put new drugs in cigs to make them stronger and harder to quit. Withdrawal was much easier than previous attempts to quit. Cancer sores, sore throat, exhaustion, depression, feeling a lack of enjoyment in everything I used to enjoy, less motivation to do things that used to be a routine. Hope this help. the only thing i cant figure out is is its been 2 months now, and the 1st month and a half was no problem i didnt have cravings and i didnt raid the fridge. The best way to cope is to distract. Anyway, during the first 3-4 days, change the thing you keep reaching for(a smoke) to unsalted sunflower seeds or peanuts…something like that and NOT carrot sticks…it has to be orally gratifying..it’ll be a LOT easier to quit. Doctors tried and no luck. I have COPD symptoms that I never had. Feels like a Benjamin button case over here. I am getting to the stage i am not wanting to leave the house in case i have a panic attack. When that happens my last pill runs out and I go zero to 60 on the cravings, it is hard hard hard without the champax. My side effect is something like the motor falling out of the bottom of me. Thanks AngieB! I know the effects are a nuisance. Nicotine cravings go away after a few minutes each time. I will survive and be much healthier and happy for it ( easier writing this part than really believing it). This time June 14/18 no withdrawal systems gofigure!! Stay strong and don’t ever relapse ð. I didnât imagine that nicotine withdrawal was even a thing. Someone told me once that all smokers are trying to do is take a deep breath, makes sense to me, so now I take one! Smoking cigarettes fill time and have become a habit that is very hard to break.
